9 places on our list here — pubs that let the dog in, walks from the village, somewhere to eat. Every verdict below was checked by a human — the stamp shows when. The rest are listed and waiting on a check, and say so.
A small local on Baxter Gate in the middle of Hedon, the old Holderness market town that sits between Hull and the Humber bank at Paull. It serves cask ale and home-cooked food and has a beer garden behind. The pub's own site describes dog-friendly spaces inside and out, so dogs are not restricted to the garden. Hedon is East Riding of Yorkshire, not Hull, and the Hedon Haven and Humber bank paths start about ten minutes' walk south of the pub.
A cosy traditional multi-room pub on Souttergate, part way between Hedon's Market Place and the Havenside end of the town, with a real fire, a separate bar and a function room. The big rear garden takes in a children's play area and there is a smaller pebbled area to the right of the front door; parking is opposite, on the right-hand side of the one-way street. Hedon sits in East Riding of Yorkshire, so East Riding's dog control order governs the streets around it rather than anything Hull City Council has made. The dog-friendly listing is CAMRA's WhatPub survey record, not the pub's own words.

ADD A PLACEHedon was a working port before the Humber silted it up, and the Old Haven that once carried ships to the town wall is now a reed-choked channel running south-west across the fields to the estuary. This loop follows it out of Hedon, joins the Humber flood bank below the Salt End tank farm and turns south to the fishing village of Paull with its little white lighthouse, coming back inland on the Paull Road. It is East Riding of Yorkshire, not Hull, and no Public Spaces Protection Order touches the route; the council asks only for close control and a lead around stock. The flood bank is grazed by cattle and sheep in summer, the estuary side is soft mud with a fierce tide, and there is no shade anywhere on the bank.

Local knowledge beats desk research every time. Name the place and we will check it properly — the venue's own policy, confirmed, then stamped and dated like every other listing.
