On Land of Green Ginger in the old town, a mid-eighteenth-century pub that began as the vaults of a coaching inn and still has its original windows, 1930s oak panelling, fireplaces and mirrors downstairs, along with what is said to be the smallest pub window in England. The upstairs bar has televisions for the sport and can be taken for a private function, and children are allowed until 6pm. Hull City Council is the authority and it has no dog control Public Spaces Protection Order, so the cobbled streets around it carry no dog restriction. The dog-friendly listing comes from CAMRA's WhatPub survey record rather than the pub's own words.
