The White Hart

An Edwardian pub of 1904 on Alfred Gelder Street in the old town, kept for its front lounge of original mahogany fittings and a ceramic-tiled bar counter, one of only fourteen left in the country, which puts it on CAMRA's national inventory of real heritage pubs. Beer runs to progressive regional cask, craft keg, real cider and continental bottles, there is pool, darts and shuffleboard, and picnic tables in the garden; food comes through an arrangement with the restaurant next door. Entry is level at the front door and level throughout inside, and the Scale Lane swing bridge and the River Hull are two minutes away. Hull City Council governs here and operates no dog control Public Spaces Protection Order.
