1 place on our list here — pubs that let the dog in. Every verdict below was checked by a human — the stamp shows when.
A Thwaites pub on Towngate in High Bradfield, next to St Nicholas' church and looking straight out over the Bradfield moors and down to Damflask and Agden. Its own description of itself is a family friendly, walker friendly and dog friendly traditional pub, and the outdoor terrace and beer garden are where the view is. Home-cooked food runs from 11.30am to 9pm every day, with garden, non-gluten and buffet menus alongside the main one, and the ale is Cask Marque accredited. It is the obvious end to either of the Bradfield reservoir circuits, though the pull up from Low Bradfield is steep.
