A short, gentle circuit on the wold top above Knapton, starting from the reception at Wolds Way Caravan and Camping. It runs west along Knapton Wold Road, which is metalled and a public bridleway, then drops south on the Yorkshire Wolds Way to the Enclosure Rites sculpture and its dew pond before returning on the National Trail along the edge of the escarpment. The whole loop stays between 129 and 168 metres so the climbing is barely noticeable, and there are no stiles anywhere on it. Views run north across the Vale of Pickering to the North York Moors, and the Bilsdale transmitter is visible 25 miles off on a clear day.

ADD A WALKA working farm site at West Farm on the lane climbing south out of West Knapton towards the wold top, with tent and caravan pitches, electric hook-ups, a shop, laundry and a family bathroom. Dogs are welcome on a lead and the farm's own walks run straight off the site, which is the point of staying here rather than on the coast. The site rules are strict about other animals: dogs only, nothing else. Caravan pitches run March to October and the site sits high enough to be exposed in a north-easterly.
