No photo yet · the business adds these when they claim

Four converted railway wagons and four pods on an acre and a half off Ropery Lane at the top of Weaverthorpe. Dogs are allowed in every wagon, every pod and the studio snug, but not in the shower block or the shared kitchen, and the site rule is leads at all times. A public bridleway runs straight off the site up onto the wold top, which is the obvious first walk of the day. Wagons have wood burners and en-suite loos; pods do not, so you use the amenity block.

THE SMALL PRINTDogs are allowed in all the pods, wagons and the studio snug but are barred from the toilet and shower block and from the communal kitchen on hygiene grounds. Leads at all times across the site, except on an activity stay designated for dogs.

Pub SOME LIMITS

The Blue Bell Inn, Weaverthorpe

YO17 8EX
No reviews yet

Weaverthorpe's second pub, overlooking the green at the western end of the village, reopened in 2026 under new ownership after a long refurbishment. Its own site lists dogs allowed alongside the beer garden, real fire, car park and accommodation, but stops short of saying which rooms of the building. Kitchen runs Thursday to Sunday only and the bar shuts at 7pm Monday to Wednesday, so it is an evening stop rather than a lunchtime one early in the week.

Pub SOME LIMITS

The Star Inn, Weaverthorpe

YO17 8EY
No reviews yet

A 19th-century village pub on the main street through Weaverthorpe, in the Great Wold Valley where the Gypsey Race runs. Their published answer on dogs is direct: welcome in the bar area and in certain guest rooms, with notice asked for in advance. Bar hours are limited midweek, with the bar shut Monday and Tuesday, so ring before driving over from the coast. There is a garden and free parking on site.

Weaverthorpe Wold Bridleway

YO17 8HJ
2.4 MI · 1H 15M · 90% OFF-ROAD

The public bridleway that leaves Main Road at the Ropery Lane end of Weaverthorpe, next to the glamping site, and climbs straight south out of the Great Wold Valley onto the wold top. The whole village lays out below you within ten minutes of leaving the road. Ground and grass underfoot, field gates rather than stiles, and the right of way carries on south over the tops towards Cottam if you want more than the two and a half miles out and back described here. Arable and sheep pasture either side, and not a drop of water once you leave the village, so carry it.
