2 places on our list here — pubs that let the dog in, walks from the village. Every verdict below was checked by a human — the stamp shows when.
The only pub in Leavening, on Main Street at the western foot of the Wolds escarpment below Leavening Brow. The pub lists pet friendly among its own published on-site amenities alongside the beer garden, real ales and parking, but does not say which parts of the building dogs may use. It is the obvious refuel point for anyone walking the Centenary Way or the Brow, and there is off-street parking.

ADD A PLACEA short farmland round linking the two villages at the foot of the Wolds escarpment. North out of Leavening on Malton Road, right onto the field track that climbs east, then onto a public footpath signposted at both ends which drops through arable land into Burythorpe by the church. The return is a single-track lane west of the fields with almost no traffic. Open ploughland and grass headlands the whole way, big views north to the Howardian Hills, and no beck, pond or trough anywhere on it - this is chalk country and the water all runs underground.

ADD A WALKKnow one we have missed?
Local knowledge beats desk research every time. Name the place and we will check it properly — the venue's own policy, confirmed, then stamped and dated like every other listing.
One short email when we add places or a council changes its beach rules. No noise, easy out.
