A Commercial Street local on the Norton side of the river, five minutes from Malton station and the Derwent bridge, with a traditional bar, a separate restaurant and bed and breakfast rooms upstairs. The pub lists dog-friendly areas among its facilities but does not say which rooms those are, so ask at the bar before you settle in the restaurant side. Food runs Wednesday to Saturday, lunch and evening, and Sunday until half four; there is no food on Monday or Tuesday. No dog policy is published for the bedrooms, so ring before booking a room with a dog.
