Staithes · 4 checked & stamped
Fires, flagstones and no side-eye at the bar. Every pub below lets the dog in — and we say exactly which rooms.
A real-ale inn at the top of the village on Staithes Lane, named for the town's most famous apprentice. Its own site notes a couple of rooms are dog friendly for 'a break away with your four legged friend', but they are limited, so check before booking.
A small vintage tearoom in the old village that welcomes dogs, though the room is snug and there will very likely be other dogs already in residence. Light meals and cakes at kind prices after a blowy walk on the breakwater.
A welcoming High Street local in the old village that happily takes dogs — just be prepared for the small indoor rooms to be busy, and full of other dogs. A proper fishing-village pint, moments from the harbour.
The famous harbour-wall pub at the foot of Staithes, where the spray hits the windows on a rough day. Its own policy is simple: your dog is welcome provided it is clean, on a lead and kept on the floor.

ADD A PLACEKnow one we have missed?
Local knowledge beats desk research every time. Name the place and we will check it properly — the venue's own policy, confirmed, then stamped and dated like every other listing.
One short email when we add places or a council changes its beach rules. No noise, easy out.
