Fires, flagstones and no side-eye at the bar. Every pub below lets the dog in — and we say exactly which rooms.
A friendly bar tucked into Royal Crescent Court just off The Crescent, moments from the cliff gardens. There are usually dog biscuits at the bar for well-behaved pooches, which tells you everything about the welcome.
Right on Coble Landing by the beach, this relaxed bistro welcomes dogs inside or out on the balcony, with water bowls provided. Note it's a cash-only establishment, so come prepared after your beach walk.
A cosy café-bar on John Street that welcomes well-behaved dogs inside, with table service and a relaxed feel. Handy for breakfast before the beach — it opens from 8.30am at weekends.
Part of Charlotte's on Belle Vue Street, where the sheltered and heated areas are both dog friendly — a rare comfortable option on a chilly day. The main restaurant can't accommodate dogs, so ask for the glasshouse side.
A popular Mitford Street pub with a large rear beer garden and a smaller covered one at the front — dogs are welcome in both. Its own website is upfront that dogs can't come inside unless they are accredited assistance dogs, so save it for garden weather.

Local knowledge beats desk research every time. Name the place and we will check it properly — the venue's own policy, confirmed, then stamped and dated like every other listing.
One short email when we add places or a council changes its beach rules. No noise, easy out.
