1 place on our list here — somewhere to stay. Every verdict below was checked by a human — the stamp shows when.
A stone country inn at Bordhill on the A616 at Flouch, on the Peak District edge between Penistone and the Woodhead pass, with a bar, a restaurant and bed and breakfast rooms. Its own site says children and well-behaved dogs are welcome, and names the Family Room, the Standard Double and the Standard Twin as the rooms dogs may stay in. A footpath built along the main road takes you from the pub to the bridleway down to Langsett Reservoir, which means you can walk from the door without putting the dog on the A616. The Trans Pennine Trail at Dunford Bridge is three miles west.
Know a Flouch pub, cafe or place to stay that lets dogs in? Tell us and we will go and check it.

Local knowledge beats desk research every time. Name the place and we will check it properly — the venue's own policy, confirmed, then stamped and dated like every other listing.
