Georgian landmark hotel a minute's walk from Valley Gardens, trading since the days of the spa. Its dog-friendly package includes a bag of treats and a toy for the dog plus a 1pm late checkout for a last garden walk; dogs are welcome in the lobby and bar, with dog rooms at fifteen pounds per night.
The former Yorkshire Hotel on Prospect Place, now an Inn Collection Group house and one of the most dog-committed stays in town. Up to two dogs per room for fifteen pounds a night, with beds, bowls, biscuits and blankets waiting on arrival, and the in-house Barking George pub serves doggy roast dinners and fish and chips from its own canine menu.
Smart boutique hotel directly opposite the 200-acre Stray, so the morning walk starts on the doorstep. Dogs are allowed in the bar, courtyard and designated areas of the restaurant as well as bedrooms, with a charge of twenty pounds per dog per night.
