The brewery's own tap bar inside Units 1 and 2 of Callum Court on the Gateway Industrial Estate at Parkgate, north of Rotherham, opened in 2022 with up to seven Chantry beers straight from the plant next door. There is a front garden area, parking on the estate and live bands most weekend evenings, though band nights carry an entry charge, so a quiet visit with a dog means an early or midweek session. It is within walking distance of the Parkgate tram-train stop and retail park, and the Rother Valley canal path is the nearest green route. CAMRA's WhatPub survey records the tap as dog friendly with no area excluded; the brewery does not publish a dog policy of its own.

A micropub at 477 Herringthorpe Valley Road in Broom, converted from a DIY shop, with six handpumps of changing guest beers from micros plus craft keg and cider, and an upstairs function room used for a Wednesday quiz and monthly acoustic sessions. CAMRA describes it as a quiet haven next to the much livelier Stag, which makes it the better of the two for a dog that does not like noise. There is garden seating, an accessible toilet and parking, no cooked food but snacks and you may bring your own; Herringthorpe playing fields and Clifton Park are both close. The dog welcome is recorded on CAMRA's WhatPub survey of March 2026 rather than published by the bar.

Rotherham's fourth micropub, now at 19 Broad Street in Parkgate in a former fishing tackle shop, with three handpumps and four craft taps, usually one pale and one dark real ale, and a deliberate back-to-basics policy of no piped music, board games and a pool table instead. A small patio is reached through the bar, and the room is little enough that a dog will be under your table rather than wandering. It is about fifteen minutes on foot from the Parkgate tram-train stop, with the Rawmarsh and Rother Valley paths the nearest walking. CAMRA's WhatPub entry records the bar as dog friendly with no area excluded, rather than the bar publishing a policy itself.

Roadhouse Bar and Bottles

A micropub and bottle shop at 154 Wickersley Road in Broom on the east side of Rotherham, opened in a former store room and reached through the outside seating area by a side entrance. Three changing cask guests, ten keg lines and up to two hundred bottles and cans, with step-free access and an accessible toilet, and outside seating at the front where a wet dog can dry off. Boston Park and Clifton Park are both within a mile if you want a walk either side of a pint. CAMRA's WhatPub survey of March 2026 records the bar as dog friendly, and that is the published source rather than the bar's own wording.

The Cutlers Arms

A Grade II listed pub at 29 Westgate, rebuilt in 1907 for the Sheffield brewer William Stones and restored by Chantry Brewery in 2014, with green Art Nouveau tiles in the lobby, a mosaic floor, stained glass and the original curved bar counter and dividing screen. It is on CAMRA's National Inventory of Historic Pub Interiors, has a separate bar, a real fire, a garden and a function room, and serves the full Chantry range with guest ales and two real ciders. Pizzas and pork pies are the food, and Clifton Park is the nearest place to give a dog a run before or after. CAMRA's WhatPub survey of December 2025 records it as dog friendly with no room excluded, rather than the pub publishing a policy itself.

A former working men's club on Fitzwilliam Road in Eastwood, just off the A630 out towards Doncaster, run as a family community pub since 2011 in an area that has lost most of its pubs. It is one bar with two full-size snooker tables and two pool tables, a garden, its own parking and a function room, and CAMRA's entry states plainly that well-behaved children and pets are welcome in the bar. That makes it a proper sit-inside stop rather than a garden-only one. Clifton Park is about a mile south-west and is the nearest real walk.

A large pub set back from High Street in Kimberworth, refurbished by Stonegate and reopened in 2022 with bright modern decor, a separate bar, two function rooms, pool and sport on several screens. There is ample parking at the front and a beer garden at the back, which is the quieter side when there is a DJ on. An Indian restaurant, Maisha Spice, operates inside the building on its own hours, so a dog is better kept to the bar side than the dining part. Grange Park and the paths above Kimberworth are the nearest green space. CAMRA's WhatPub survey of December 2024 lists the pub as dog friendly; that is the published record rather than the pub's own words.

A pub since 1856 at 84 Westgate on the corner of Coke Lane, taken on by Chantry Brewery in 2013 and run since as a cask-led drinking pub with at least six Chantry beers and two real ciders on handpull. There is a real fire, free wifi and occasional acoustic and comedy nights, and it was Rotherham CAMRA Town Pub of the Year every year from 2014 to 2020. It sits a few minutes from Rotherham Central station, with Clifton Park the nearest proper walk about a mile east. CAMRA's WhatPub survey of February 2026 lists it as dog friendly with no restriction noted, which is the published evidence rather than the pub's own words.

A straightforward town-centre pub at 39 Effingham Street, on the main shopping street a few minutes from Rotherham Minster and the interchange, open from ten in the morning most days. It is a one-bar sports local with free wifi rather than a food house, so there is no dining room a dog has to be kept out of. Clifton Park, the big Victorian park with the museum and the long grass avenues, is about half a mile east and is the obvious walk to pair with a pint here. Craft Union lists the Plough among its dog-friendly pubs and says water bowls are kept behind the bar; that is the group's published wording rather than the pub's own.

Greene King lists it as dog friendly on the pub's own facilities panel, alongside a beer garden, a car park and a Wacky Warehouse indoor play barn. It is family-led rather than a quiet drinker's pub, so expect noise, but it has the parking and the space that most town centre pubs do not. Open from 11am, food served to 9pm.

An Ember Inns dining pub on East Bawtry Road on the Whiston side of Rotherham, close to junction 33 of the M1 with plenty of free parking and a real fire inside. Its own page says dogs are warmly welcomed at the pub garden, and the garden is a big one, with large tables for groups and smaller corners, kept in use all year. That welcome stops at the garden, so this is an outdoor visit rather than a seat by the fire. Sitwell Park golf course is next door and Clifton Park is about two miles into town for a proper walk. A new-build Greene King Hungry Horse family pub on Riverside Way at Ickles, built on old steelworks land off the A6178 Sheffield Road and within sight of Magna and the Centenary Riverside Nature Reserve. Breakfast runs from ten to twelve and the menu carries on through the day, there is a big car park and a garden, and the nature reserve wetland paths next door are the reason to bring a dog here at all. Dogs are limited to outside, so this is a garden-table visit rather than a seat indoors. That restriction is recorded on CAMRA's WhatPub entry rather than published by the pub itself.
