Grinton · 1 checked & stamped
Fires, flagstones and no side-eye at the bar. Every pub below lets the dog in — and we say exactly which rooms.
A fifteenth-century former coaching house overlooking the Swale, sitting on both the Coast to Coast and the Inn Way and on the Dales Cycle Way. Dogs and muddy boots are both welcome in the wood-panelled bar with its open fire, which is rarer in Swaledale than it ought to be. Recommended in the Good Beer Guide, with letting rooms above.

Local knowledge beats desk research every time. Name the place and we will check it properly — the venue's own policy, confirmed, then stamped and dated like every other listing.
One short email when we add places or a council changes its beach rules. No noise, easy out.
