Borrowdale · 1 checked & stamped
Fires, flagstones and no side-eye at the bar. Every pub below lets the dog in — and we say exactly which rooms.
A 1628 building in the hamlet of Seatoller at the foot of Honister Pass, a hundred yards from the National Trust car park and the start of the Thorneythwaite and Honister paths. Dogs are welcome inside as well as in the beer garden, with water bowls and treats given out on request, which matters at the wet end of Borrowdale where an outdoor-only pub is no use for half the year. It is the last pub before the pass, so it takes the whole of the Seathwaite and Great Gable traffic on a bad afternoon.

ADD A PLACEKnow one we have missed?
Local knowledge beats desk research every time. Name the place and we will check it properly — the venue's own policy, confirmed, then stamped and dated like every other listing.
One short email when we add places or a council changes its beach rules. No noise, easy out.
