1 place on our list here — pubs that let the dog in. Every verdict below was checked by a human — the stamp shows when.
A 1711 Lakeland inn on the Crook road between Kendal and Bowness, stone floors and open fires, with seasonal menus built on local game and fell-raised meat. The pub keeps a dedicated dog page and lists water, dog treats and dog blankets for visiting dogs, who are welcome to warm up by the open fire, and it puts on a dog Sunday lunch alongside the human one. It is a car journey rather than a walk from either town, and the car park is the only sensible parking on that stretch of road. Booking is worth doing at weekends.

Local knowledge beats desk research every time. Name the place and we will check it properly — the venue's own policy, confirmed, then stamped and dated like every other listing.
