The cottage sits adjacent to the owners home where privacy is assured 0.5 miles from the village of Constantine which has a range of amenities including a convenience store and pub. There are lovely walks straight from the door including local woods to explore. If you want to discover more of what West Cornwall has to offer you ll be perfectly located to explore some of the best attractions including Gweek Seal Sanctuary Helford Passage and the subtropical gardens of Trebah and Glendurgan all within a 5-mile radius of the property. Further afield are the picturesque towns of Falmouth (6.5 miles) and Helston (6 miles) which offer a wide range of amenities. Visit the Lizard Peninsula to see some breathtaking views or discover one of the many beautiful beaches from Kynance Cove to Praa Sands - both can be found within a 15-mile radius. Step inside this pretty property and you will immediately find yourself in the beautiful small well equipped light and airy kitchen area. This is offers everything needed for self-catering including an electric oven and hob microwave and a fridge with ice compartment. Private off-road parking for one car is also provided in the nearby parking area which is shared with the owners. Just under four miles round two tidal creeks in old oak woodland, a little over two hours with 140 metres of climbing and almost no view of open sea at any point. Park at the Helford village car park at the top of the hill, because cars are barred from the village itself in season and a shuttle runs down; the walk goes out past Penarvon Cove. One stile, a flight of wooden steps, is awkward for a large dog, and leads are needed between Penarvon and the chapel loop where free-range chickens wander; otherwise the creekside is shaded, muddy and very good for a dog that likes water.

Five and three quarter miles between the Helford River and Falmouth Bay, around three hours with 200 metres of climbing and the tiny hamlet of Durgan at the water’s edge. It starts from the National Trust car park at Glendurgan, which serves the garden and the beach and is the only parking for miles; Mawnan Smith is a mile inland if it is full. Stiles are reported fine for dogs, and Porth Sawsen, Prisk Cove and Porthallack all allow dogs all year, which is why locals bring theirs here in August; the headland path is unfenced and Maenporth at the far end is restricted.

Six and a half miles right round Cornwall’s largest natural lake, three and a quarter hours on estate tracks and woodland paths with barely a climb worth naming. It starts in Coronation Park at the bottom of Helston, which is free and central, so you can walk the whole thing without moving the car twice. There are no stiles anywhere on the route, dogs may use Loe Bar beach all year and there is dog ice cream at the National Trust cafe at Penrose Stables; cattle are sometimes on the Penrose parkland, and the Loe itself is deep and steep-sided in places.

Falmouth's main town beach, a gentle curve of sand with gardens behind it and the coast path running along the top. As an award beach it carries the long restriction, closed to dogs from 10am to 6pm between mid-May and the end of September. Swanpool, ten minutes west, only closes in July and August.

Six miles round the headlands south of Falmouth, two and three quarter hours with 150 metres of climbing and a lagoon nature reserve at the halfway mark. Start on Gyllyngvase seafront where the town car park is, or at Swanpool a little further on; both are pay-and-display and the number 35 bus runs the same line if you would rather do it one way. Easy going with no significant stile trouble and a freshwater pool at Swanpool, but the three town beaches are all restricted in season and the path around Pennance Point runs along an unfenced low cliff.

Five and a half easy miles right round the Pendennis peninsula, taking in the working docks, the castle headland and all three town beaches, about two and a half hours on largely surfaced paths. Start from The Moor in the middle of Falmouth or from the castle car park on the point itself; the town has two railway stations on the Truro branch, so this walk is genuinely car-free. There are no stiles and no livestock, but a good deal of it is pavement and dock road where a lead is needed, and every beach on the loop closes to dogs for part of the summer.
