Two nineteenth-century cottages knocked together on Westwood Road, five minutes from Saturday Market and about the same from the Westwood cattle grid, which makes it the obvious pint after a lap of the common. The tiny snug seats only a handful of people and is the room dogs tend to end up in, though the main room behind the bar takes them too. Three changing cask beers, a courtyard out the back and food cooked fresh on the day. The dog policy here comes from CAMRA WhatPub, surveyed on the ground by Hull and East Yorkshire branch volunteers on 8 May 2026, rather than from the pub itself.
