That is also home to the historical impressive ruins of Drochil Castle that was built for the Regent of Scotland and was not finished before his execution in 1581. Only five miles from the pretty conservation village of West Linton and the Royal Burgh of Peebles. By the banks of the bonnie River Tweed renowned for its excellent salmon and trout fishing. The town also boasts excellent shopping and leisure facilities including Eastgate Theatre & Arts Centre Gytes Leisure Centre and golf courses. Enjoy a trip to Neidpath Castle Kailzie and Dawyck Botanic Gardens in this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Next is the stylish comfortable lounge with Smart TV USB points and a wood burner ideal for cosy nights in after an epic day out exploring the local area. Followed by the spacious bespoke kitchen/diner this is the perfect place to cook up a storm with the electric oven and hob microwave fridge/freezer washing machine and dining area ideal for romantic meals. Completing the accommodation is the stylish shower room with shower and WC. Venturing outside to the spacious fully enclosed mature wrap around gardens with seating area a great for place for al fresco dining and lazy evening star gazing over countryside and the private castles ruins. There is also ample enclosed off-road parking at the side and in front of the cottage. Need to know: 1 bedroom king size. 1 shower room. Electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, microwave and washing machine. Farm activities guests are welcome to help feed the lambs and explore the farmland through the established tracks. Wood burner (first basket of logs included). Ample private enclosed off road parking. Fully enclosed Garden. 2 dogs welcome please make sure dogs are kept on a leash, when exploring the direct countryside on the farm due to livestock. Shops, pubs and restaurants 5 miles. Smart TV in lounge and bedroom. Private water supply. Please note that charging electric vehicles via the property mains is strictly forbidden. Nearest charge point is in West Linton which is10 minutes away.
