A 2.4-mile there-and-back of about eighty minutes across the flat rock scaurs of the bay to the beck mouth at Boggle Hole, almost level but slow going over weed-covered ledges and loose boulders that punish careless paws. Start at the slipway at the bottom of the village; park at Bank Top and walk down, and check the tide table posted by the slipway before you set off. The rock pools are full of interest and there is fresh water at Mill Beck, but this is the single most serious tide trap on the walk list, the scaurs are slippery, and there is no way up the cliff between the Bay and Boggle Hole.

THE SMALL PRINTA tide trap with no escape route. The scaurs cover completely and the cliffs between the village and Boggle Hole are unclimbable, so only walk this within two hours either side of low water and turn back well before the tide turns. The wet ledges are slippery and the boulders can cut pads.
