Robin Hood's Bay, Boggle Hole and the Cinder Track

A 7.2-mile circular of about three and a quarter hours, south on the Cleveland Way over three steep-stepped ravines to Boggle Hole and Stoupe Beck, then back on the level Cinder Track, with 160 metres of climbing taken almost entirely on steps. Start at the Bank Top pay-and-display car park above the village, since there is nowhere to park at the bottom and the descent into the Bay is punishing on the way back. The Cinder Track return is easy off-lead ground with becks to drink from, but the outward cliff path is unfenced and crosses grazed fields, and the beach route to Boggle Hole is cut off by every tide.
