An easy 4.5-mile circular of just under two hours with 90 metres of climbing, out from Reighton village to the sands at Reighton Gap, north along the beach and back on the England Coast Path clifftop past a stone bench with the whole of Filey Bay laid out in front of it. Start in Reighton on the old road off the A165; the 12 bus between Scarborough, Filey and Bridlington stops in the village. Dogs are allowed on this beach all year and the sand is broad and quiet outside the holiday season, but the boulder clay cliffs slip constantly, the path along the top is unfenced, and the tide covers the sand right under the cliffs at the Speeton end.
