A local nature reserve on the northern edge of Bransholme, all rough meadow, hawthorn scrub, drain-side willow and a large fishing lake, and one of only two designated local nature reserves inside the Hull city boundary. The reserve is Hull City Council land, not East Riding, and the council closes only the play areas to dogs; the reserve paths themselves carry no lead rule. This circuit picks the reserve up from Bransholme Road, works round the lake and the meadows, and comes back past the sports pitches off Noddle Hill Way. Ground-nesting birds use the rough grass from March to July, and the drains that edge the reserve are steep-sided and deep.

THE SMALL PRINTHull City Council's page for Noddle Hill says: "Only assistance dogs are welcome in the play areas." The nature reserve, the lake margins and the meadows carry no dog restriction and no lead requirement. Hull City Council operates no dog control Public Spaces Protection Order, so nothing beyond that page applies here. A fishing pass is needed for the lake, but not for walking round it.
