A large sports-led pub on Bawtry Road in Wickersley, three miles east of Rotherham town centre. Greene King lists it as dog friendly on the pub's own facilities panel, with a beer garden, a car park, EV charging and disabled facilities. It opens at 9am and serves food until 9pm, so it works for breakfast after an early walk as well as an evening pint. Ulley Country Park is four miles south and Thrybergh about the same to the north.

A large roadside pub at 133 Bawtry Road in the middle of Wickersley, a few minutes from the paths through Wickersley Wood and Listerdale Nature Reserve on the south side of the village. Its own pub-group page calls it a dog friendly pub with water bowls ready and treats behind the bar, and sets no rooms aside as off limits, so a dog can come in with you rather than being tied up outside. It is a busy village local rather than a quiet snug, so a nervous dog is better in early afternoon than on a Friday night. The wording is published by the pub's operating group rather than by the landlord directly.
