A nineteenth-century building on Market Place turned into a light, modern two-floor bar, and the best beer in Pocklington by a distance - mostly Brew York with guests from other Yorkshire brewers. There is pavement seating out front on the Market Place, a weekly quiz, and under-eighteens are welcome until eight. It is two minutes from the West Green car park and a mile from Canal Head, so it is the natural finish for the Pocklington Canal towpath. The dog-friendly listing here is CAMRA WhatPub, surveyed by branch volunteers on 21 February 2023, rather than the bar’s own words.
