An easy four-mile loop of just under two hours down through the wooded ravine to the waterfall that drops straight onto the boulder beach, then south along the cliff to Roger Trod and back on the Cinder Track, with 140 metres of climbing and a steep flight of steps at the cove. Start at the Hayburn Wyke Inn on the lane off the A171, which allows walkers to park if you use the pub, and the number 115 bus passes the end of the lane. The waterfall pool is a good drink and a cold plunge, the woodland and railway sections are fine off-lead, but the beach is all rounded boulders that are hard on paws and the clifftop south of the wyke is unfenced.
