The placement of this stunning romantic home in East Liburn Farm will delight history buffs and avid walkers. Within 20 miles of this cottage are five ancient attractions boasting magnificent architecture fascinating histories and stories of royalty and betrayal including Chillingham Castle (2.5 miles) Bamburgh Castle (15 miles) National Trust Cragside (16 miles) Alnwick Castle and Gardens (16 miles) and Dunstanburgh Castle (18.2 miles). For couples who love to explore on foot there are walks from the doorstep and the Northumberland National Park offers stunning vistas particularly from the summit of Cheviot (19 miles) with views to the Lake District on a clear day. Stroll along the Northumberland shoreline at Bamburgh and Seahouses and experience the water sports at Beadnell Bay. Make your way through the front door of this cosy cottage where you ll find a wide hallway furnished with hooks for hanging up walking coats and scarves and a useful downstairs WC. Head through to the welcoming lounge and unwind with a cup of tea by the glow of the wood burner. This is the ideal spot for movie nights snuggling up on the sofas. The countryside-themed kitchen/diner provides all the appliances you ll need to cook up a storm and a large table where you can sit and chat through the day s highlights over homemade dinners. Upstairs the large super-king-size bedroom with a zip-and-link bed is perfect for early nights and long lie-ins and the lovely bathroom is fitted with a bathtub for a long soak after a walk a separate shower and WC. There is a bench seat at the front of the property where you can sit with a morning coffee and put on your walking boots with beautiful walking routes from the doorstep into the adjacent countryside. There is also a bench seat at the rear of the cottage in the stable yard where you can watch the horses coming and going. Of course dogs must be kept on a lead and under control in the stable yard. There is off-road private parking for two cars. Need to know: 1 super king size bedroom with zip and link beds (which can be made up as a twin upon request). 1 bathroom with a bath, a separate shower and a WC, 1 separate downstairs WC. Electric oven and hob, fridge, freezer, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. Travel cot and highchair on request. Wood burner (first basket of logs included). Biomass heating. Freeview TV. Wi Fi signal is intermittent/weak. There is no outside space, however, there are walks from the front door into the adjacent countryside. Private parking for 2 cars. Shops 4 miles, pubs 6 miles beach 15 miles.
