Farndale Daffodil Walk
The famous three-and-a-half-mile riverside walk from Low Mill to Church Houses and back along the River Dove, carpeted each March and April with protected wild daffodils in the Farndale nature reserve, and lovely in any season. The valley fields are nursery pasture for sheep - pregnant ewes and lambs in daffodil season - so keep dogs on leads at all times. Firm, mostly level path with toilets at the Low Mill car park; the Feversham Arms at Church Houses makes a handy turnaround.

However with its neutral tones warm wood and high vaulted ceilings it is light airy and spacious with a charming contemporary cottage style. Located in Farndale (known for its daffodil walk each spring) in the North York Moors approx. 8 miles North of Kirkbymoorside there are 600 square miles of beautiful heather-covered countryside to explore by foot or by car. The National Park is also home to a wealth of market towns and villages with tearooms cafes pubs and restaurants to suit all tastes and budgets including foodies haven Helmsley (14 miles) and Pickering (16 miles). On arrival take time to admire the attractive exterior and position of this property; immediately you will notice the attention to detail. As you enter you will discover the open-plan lounge/kitchen/dining area which is a great space for socialising and relaxing. In the corner of the lounge the wood burner is perfect for creating a cosy atmosphere on chillier evenings whilst the underfloor heating creates a comfortable warmth elsewhere in the cottage. The modern kitchen is a good size and has all the mod-cons needed to cater to your needs. Both of the bedrooms are king-size and have en-suites which makes this a great property for two couples. The decor is simple but elegant thus creating a restful atmosphere where you will find it easy to unwind. One en-suite has a bathtub with shower over to soak in at the end of a long day and the other has a walk-in shower. Outside the south-facing garden s unbridled views of the North York Moors are something special. So make the most of the garden furniture sit back with a glass of your favourite tipple and enjoy each other s company whilst soaking up the spectacular panoramas. Need to know: 2 bedrooms One King size and one Super King zip and link bed (can be made up as singles upon request) both with TVs and both accessed via stairs. 2 bathrooms both en suites one with a bath with shower over and one with a walk in shower. Oven, hob and microwave, fridge and freezer. Underfloor heating and wood burner. Smart TV. Wi Fi included. South facing enclosed garden, leading directly from the property with lawn and gravel patio (BBQ use is permitted but not provided). Ample off road parking. Unfortunately, EV charging is not possible at the cottage. There are local EV points in Kirkbymoorside, Pickering and Helmsley. Pub less than 100 yards. Shop within 5 miles. Washing machine, tumble dryer. 2 dogs welcome maximum medium sized, well behaved, quiet dogs welcomed in this cottage. Pets must not be left unattended in the cottage unless they are happy to be caged (cage not provided) and are not likely to bark.
