An award-winning cafe and haberdashery on Walkergate, a minute from Saturday Market and a couple from the Butcher Row car park, open nine till four every day but Christmas Day and Boxing Day. The shop's own words could not be clearer: "Dogs are most welcome across all our premises, and we can supply water and treats to keep your canine content." There is a menu for dogs as well as one for people, which is a rare thing this side of the Wolds. It is the obvious warm-up stop before walking out to the Westwood.
