A big old coaching inn at 18 Market Place, a minute from the Pocklington Arts Centre and the top of Railway Street, with a lounge, a snug and a games room inside and a decked beer garden and car park behind. Food runs noon to three and five to eight on weekdays and straight through to eight at weekends, and there is Cask Marque ale on the bar. The pub's own site lists Pets Allowed among its amenities but does not say which rooms, so ring ahead if you want to sit inside rather than out in the garden. That amenity line is the pub's own website, not a survey by anyone else.
