Middleton Tyas · 1 checked & stamped
Boots on. These are the Middleton Tyas walks worth the drive, with lead rules and livestock warnings marked.
A lane circuit out of Middleton Tyas: north up Kneeton Lane past the turn for Middleton Lodge, right along Five Hills Lane towards Moulton, then back by field track and Cow Lane to the top of the village. These are single-track farm lanes with grass down the middle and long views north to the Tees valley, and you can walk most of it without meeting a car, though there is no pavement so a dog needs to be at heel when one comes. There is no seasonal dog ban here and no lead order on the lanes, only the fouling offence, which is a £50 fixed penalty in the Richmondshire area. It ends within a minute of the Shoulder of Mutton, which allows dogs.

Local knowledge beats desk research every time. Name the place and we will check it properly — the venue's own policy, confirmed, then stamped and dated like every other listing.
One short email when we add places or a council changes its beach rules. No noise, easy out.
