Reached up a long tree-lined driveway this beautiful property provides the perfect getaway for families and larger groups. Once you enter you ll never want to leave but if you can drag yourself away then there a day trips aplenty on the doorstep. Robin Hood s Bay or Whitby with its historic Abbey and blue flag beach are about an hours drive away. Alternatively a day out in York provides something for everyone with fabulous shopping the stunning cathedral Railway Museum or Jorvik Viking Centre just a few of the great places to visit. Within walking distance from the property through the private wood is a path leading to Yorkshire Air Museum & Allied Forces Memorial. Also just a short distance away is the York Maze the largest maze in the UK. An imposing entrance hall welcomes you to into the house venture to the left and you ll find the formal drawing room with plenty of fun board games pool table small football table and Bagatelle board to enjoy. Kick off your shoes and sink into the comfortable Chesterfield sofas in front of the impressive open fire. To the right you will find the hub of the house an open-plan lounge/kitchen/dining area. The kitchen area is well-equipped with two electric ovens and a 5 burner induction hob steamer oven built in microwave two dishwashers larder drink fridge with ice compartment coffee machine blender island and breakfast bar. There is a cosy seating area in front of the woodburner under the large skylight where you can enjoy afternoon tea and plan your adventures or simply enjoy watching a film on the Smart TV and DVD with surround sound. Leading through the archway takes you to the formal dining area where you can enjoy a lovely meal where there is also a door to the garden. A large utility room can be found off the kitchen with an American style fridge/freezer with water and ice dispenser washing machine and tumble dryer. Heading back to the entrance hall you will find a separate WC and staircase leading up to the first floor. The first floor consists of two king-size bedrooms one accessed under a low ish beam one with dual aspect windows looking over the garden a twin bed room (with Smart TV) and zip & link superking (which can be split into a twin on request - also with Smart TV). There are two bathrooms on this floor one bathroom with shower over the freestanding bath and WC (which can be locked off and used as an ensuite bathroom to the adjacent king-size bedroom) and a large shower room with rainfall shower with WC. Heading outside there is an extensive fully enclosed garden complete with outdoor WIFI summer house with patio area and garden furniture for al fresco dining and two charcoal BBQs for those warm summer evenings. The garden also has a fire pit with seating ideal for toasting marshmallows and enjoying those clear night skies. There is also outdoor table tennis and lots of other garden games available for you to use. There is ample off-road parking for up to 6 cars on the driveway. Access to 3.5 private wood The Old Plantation which features WW2 remnants and offers a short cut to the Yorkshire Air Museum. Need to know: 4 bedrooms 2 king size, 1 twin bedroom and 1 super king (which one can be made up as a twin please advise at time of making your booking). Please note one of the king size bedrooms is accessed from the end of corridor which has a low beam.. 1 bathroom with shower over bath (which can be locked off and used as an en suite), 1 shower room and 1 separate downstairs WC. Electric oven and induction hob, built in steam oven, built in microwave, 2 dishwashers and large drinks fridge with ice compartment, blender, coffee machine. Utility room with washing machine, tumble dryer and American style fridge/freezer with cold water & ice dispenser . Wood burner in lounge and open fire in drawing/games room (logs included). Bathroom and shower room have underfloor heating. Off road parking for up to 6 cars. Wi Fi included, WI Fi router also fitted in the garden. Village shop and pub approximately 1.5 mile from house. Smart TV with Sky TV and DVD in lounge. Smart Tv in twin and super king bedrooms. Brick built and mobile charcoal BBQ and fire pit. Tickets for nearby dog friendly Yorkshire Air Museum are annual tickets and also has a café and childrens play area. The museum carries a license to perform wedding ceremonies. Bus services into the City Centre run from the village, with Grimston Bar Park & Ride not too far away either. .

Although you might not want to leave the endearing gothic town of Whitby is located just 5.5 miles away with plenty of attractions to fill your days. Step inside to reveal a bright and airy space bursting with character with its seaside trinkets paintings and charming antique French furniture. The ground floor is home to an open-plan living space encompassing the lounge kitchen and dining area all set to the seaside theme. Following a day of breathing in the fresh sea air cosy up with the family in front of the living flame fire. The handsome kitchen is home to all the amenities you ll need to cook up some local seafood before dining at the cosy table. When the day is done retreat upstairs to one of three generous bedrooms complete with soft furnishings to offer a restful night s sleep. The master bedroom is located on the first floor boasting an original cast iron fireplace king-size bed and en-suite shower room. A further two bedrooms are located on the second floor; another generous king-size room and a charming twin. These rooms share the large family bathroom on the first floor complete with wonderful roll top bath and fireplace so you can truly unwind and lose yourself in the bubbles of an evening. To the front of the cottage there is a bistro table and chairs so you can sit out on the street to soak up the sun with your morning coffee. With sandy beaches picturesque cliff tops and wonderful walking trails locally you won t be short of options when it comes to all manner of outdoor pursuits.
