Bamburgh · 2 checked & stamped
Lunch with the dog under the table, not tied to a post outside. Where Bamburgh says yes indoors, we say so — and where it is the terrace only, we say that too.
Home-baked scones and pots of tea in an old stone house a hundred yards from the castle gate. Dogs are always welcome, and in decent weather the courtyard patio garden at the back is the spot to aim for. Expect a queue at half past three in August.
Bamburgh's serious seafood restaurant, small enough that booking is not optional in season. There is a dog-friendly area which you select as part of the online booking, rather than a general welcome across the room. Shellfish landed at Seahouses, cooked plainly and well.
Know a Bamburgh pub, cafe or place to stay that lets dogs in? Tell us and we will go and check it.
ADD A PLACEKnow one we have missed?
Local knowledge beats desk research every time. Name the place and we will check it properly — the venue's own policy, confirmed, then stamped and dated like every other listing.
One short email when we add places or a council changes its beach rules. No noise, easy out.
