Robin Hood’s Bay · 1 checked & stamped
Sand status, settled. Each beach carries its month ring — moss means go, rosehip means the council says no.
The cobbled village winds steeply down to the seafront, where a vast stretch of rocky beach opens up at low tide — perfect for rockpooling and fossil hunting with a dog in tow. Dogs are welcome all year and the beach connects to the King Charles III Coast Path, but check tide times as high water covers most of the beach.
Know a Robin Hood’s Bay pub, cafe or place to stay that lets dogs in? Tell us and we will go and check it.
ADD A PLACEKnow one we have missed?
Local knowledge beats desk research every time. Name the place and we will check it properly — the venue's own policy, confirmed, then stamped and dated like every other listing.
One short email when we add places or a council changes its beach rules. No noise, easy out.
