Climb the curved wooden staircase to the top of the silo where you ll find the circular sitting room which takes up the whole of the first floor. With a castle and small independent cinema Hay has an excellent selection of quirky shops cafes bars and restaurants along with a weekly farmers market on a Thursdays showcasing the seasonal local produce cheese and crafts. In warmer weather you can enjoy paddling or wild swimming at The Warren the local beach on the banks of the river. Walkers are well served with access onto the Offa s Dyke footpath and Wye Valley Walk. For a quieter easier stroll but still with spectacular views the Roundabout Walk on The Begwns above Clyro is a good one to start with. The first floor offers two bedrooms a double with stunning views with an outside balcony and en-suite shower room with shower and WC and a double room also with breathtaking views which shares a shower and WC on the landing with the single room accessed by a curved wooden staircase to the second floor. Outside there is an enclosed garden with table and chairs and charcoal BBQ. Guests also have access onto well waymarked footpaths from the grounds.
