No photo yet · the business adds these when they claim

Self-catering cottages at Wigglesworth House on Becks Brow, at the quiet western end of the village on the lane towards Tosside and the Forest of Bowland. The owners publish a full dog policy rather than a vague welcome: two dogs are taken, at thirty pounds per dog per stay, and there is a field behind the cottage for toilet breaks which dogs must be led into. Arriving guests are given a pack with waste bags, a water bowl, towels and a holiday tag. It is a working country setting with stock in the surrounding fields, so this is lead country from the car door onwards.

THE SMALL PRINTPublished policy: thirty pounds per dog per stay. Dogs must be kept under control at all times and on a lead on arrival and in the field behind. Dogs are not allowed on the sofas or chairs and are not allowed in the bedrooms of the cottage. Dogs must not be left unattended in the cottage. Puppies under twelve months are not accepted. A further fifty pounds is charged if extra cleaning is needed.

Pub SOME LIMITS

The Plough

BD23 4RJ
No reviews yet

The only pub in Wigglesworth, standing on Jack Lane at the north end of the village with the Ribble valley falling away west and Pen-y-ghent and Ingleborough on the skyline. The bar has open fires and buttoned banquettes and pours Timothy Taylor's, Copper Dragon and Saltaire on cask, and the pub's own drinks page says furry friends will receive a warm welcome alongside the walkers and cyclists it is set up for. There is a large garden and terrace behind and free parking on site, which matters here because the village has no other public parking. Eleven bedrooms are let above the pub, but the dog policy for those is not published anywhere on the site.

Stay SOME LIMITS

Willowbeck Farm

BD23 4RJ
No reviews yet

An adults-only touring site on the edge of Wigglesworth taking caravans, campervans and motorhomes on grass pitches and serviced hardstandings, all with electric hook-up, open the whole year. The reason to know about it with a dog is the dedicated dog exercise field, planted with trees and with a bench in it, which is the only place on the site where a dog may be off the lead. The site's own rules are explicit that dogs are led everywhere else and are not walked around the pitches or where other guests are sitting. Note that from the 2026 season there are no toilet or shower blocks, so units have to be self-sufficient.
