Village Kitchen is a place to eat on Adelaide Rd, Elvington. It is listed here so you know it is there, but we have not yet established whether dogs are welcome — so there is no verdict on this page and no stamp. If it is your business, claim the page and tell us, and we will stamp it.

We have not checked this one yet

Village Kitchen is a real restaurant in Elvington, and it is here so you know it exists. But we have not been able to find a dog policy for it that we would stand behind, so we are not going to guess at one. No verdict, no stamp, no date.

If this is your business, tell us whether dogs are welcome and we will put a stamp on it — free, and it stays free. Claim this page.

If you have been and you know the answer, tell us and we will go and confirm it.

These are the parts only the business can add. We check the dog policy and stamp the date — photos, prices and their own words are theirs to put in, and this listing is waiting for them.

Walk DOGS WELCOME

Elvington and the Derwent loop

3 MI · 1H 13M · 75% OFF-ROAD

Three miles of flat field path and lane out of Elvington to the River Derwent and back, an hour and a quarter of gentle going with only about ten metres of climbing in the whole route. Start from Main Street in the village where there is roadside parking near the bridge, and the number 46 bus from York stops in Elvington; the Yorkshire Air Museum makes an obvious pairing for the drive. The riverbank gives dogs a drink and a shallow entry, the lanes are quiet enough for a good dog to walk loose, and there are no stiles, but the fields are worked and often have stock so keep the lead handy; the low-lying sections beside the Derwent hold water badly and this is a summer and autumn walk rather than a January one.

Attraction SOME LIMITS

Yorkshire Air Museum & Allied Air Forces Memorial

YO41 4AU
No reviews yet

Britain's largest independent air museum, spread across 20 acres of the wartime RAF Elvington bomber base with hangars, a Halifax bomber and a woodland walk. Well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome across the site and in most exhibition areas, though not inside the cafe, the Astra cinema or the shop. Water is easy to come by and the airfield perimeter paths give a decent leg-stretch between hangars.
