A roadside pub on Barnsley Road at Cudworth, north-east of Barnsley and a mile from Carlton Marsh nature reserve. Craft Union lists it as a dog friendly pub with water bowls kept for visiting dogs. It is a straightforward community house with sport on the screens rather than a dining pub. Carlton Marsh, Wharncliffe Woodmoor and the Trans Pennine Trail all lie within a short drive, which makes this the natural stop at the end of a walk on the old railway.

THE SMALL PRINTCraft Union lists the Victoria as a dog friendly pub and describes water bowls and cosy corners, but publishes no room-by-room detail, so which areas a dog may use is at the manager's discretion. Dog treats vary by pub.

A micropub in a converted shop at 254b Barnsley Road, Cudworth, open since 2021 and since expanded into the unit next door to make Ken's Lounge, so there is a second quieter room to take a dog into when the bar side fills up. Up to three real ales and five craft lines, with a house bitter brewed for it by Rudgate. It is a short walk from Cudworth Park and the footpaths down to Storrs Mill Wood. CAMRA's Barnsley branch surveyors list it as dog friendly; the bar publishes no policy of its own.
