A Vintage Inn on York Road at the west end of Stamford Bridge, all beams and open fires, standing on ground said to have been a soldiers' camp before the battle of 1066, with a twenty-three foot draw well found under the floor during 1960s building work. It majors on food but drinkers are welcome, it has a garden and its own car park, and it holds a five-star Cask Marque rating. Vintage Inn's dog policy is the same across the group: dogs go in the bar area, which is the calmer end of the building, and a fresh bowl of water comes with them. That policy is Vintage Inn's own dog-friendly page for this pub, not the landlord's own words, and it does not extend to the restaurant.

THE SMALL PRINTVintage Inn's dog-friendly page for The Three Cups says dogs are welcome in the bar area only, described as the most relaxed part of the pub for them, with a fresh bowl of water provided. The restaurant side is not included. CAMRA's own survey of 25 April 2024 does not list dog friendly among the pub's facilities, so this rests on the group page alone.
