The Springhead

A community local on Hull Road at Anlaby Common, refitted throughout in 2019 and now one of the very few remaining Bass outlets in the Hull area, with a comfortable lounge, a separate sports bar with a big screen, a function room and picnic tables out at the front. It stands more or less on the line where Hull's city boundary meets the East Riding parish of Anlaby with Anlaby Common, which matters less than it might: Hull City Council has no dog control Public Spaces Protection Order at all, and East Riding's excludes dogs only from four named North Sea beach stretches at Bridlington, Hornsea and Withernsea, so the ground outside is unrestricted whichever side of the line you are on.
