Set out on foot to explore the picturesque Giggle Alley woodland at the heart of which lies the remains of a Japanese Garden now a tranquil spot for relaxing. Enjoy a scenic stroll along the River Esk being sure to take the short detour to the magical Stanley Ghyll force. For a more challenging route take to higher ground with a hike up to Scafell and Scafell Pike 10 miles away. Rest your legs for a while with a ride on the famous Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway also known as La al Ratty which offers its passengers some spectacular scenery along the way. For history head to Muncaster Castle 6 miles away or to blow away the cobwebs take to Drigg Beach 7 miles away. Afterwards hearty meals can be enjoyed at the dog-friendly pub in the village. Inside this period property has been sympathetically modernised to provide fresh and contemporary accommodation with plenty of original features retained throughout. The spacious two storey apartment has a modern kitchen/diner which boasts flagstone flooring and a charming farmhouse-style table for reflecting on the day s activities. The kitchen is equipped with an electric oven and hobs fridge/freezer microwave and washing machine/dryer. The lounge is a striking room with its large bay window for making the most of the stunning fell views an inviting sofa and armchairs and a wood burner set into an original marble fireplace. When you re not admiring the views make the most of the TV with its Sky and Sky Sports package. Also on the ground floor is the fresh and bright master king-size bedroom and modern family bathroom with a shower over the bath. On the first floor is a spacious twin bedroom with plenty of storage space - perfect for children. Outside the shared garden offers a tranquil space for relaxing with the dogs with its picnic bench for al fresco dining and large lawn for sniffing.
