The Old School B&B is a place to stay on Mounstrall Lane, Danby Wiske. It is listed here so you know it is there, but we have not yet established whether dogs are welcome — so there is no verdict on this page and no stamp. If it is your business, claim the page and tell us, and we will stamp it.
The Old School B&B is a real stay in Danby Wiske, and it is here so you know it exists. But we have not been able to find a dog policy for it that we would stand behind, so we are not going to guess at one. No verdict, no stamp, no date.
If this is your business, tell us whether dogs are welcome and we will put a stamp on it — free, and it stays free. Claim this page.
If you have been and you know the answer, tell us and we will go and confirm it.
These are the parts only the business can add. We check the dog policy and stamp the date — photos, prices and their own words are theirs to put in, and this listing is waiting for them.
The rooms that take dogs, and where they sleep.
Can the dog actually sleep here, and what does it cost.
What a night actually costs, so nobody has to ring to find out.
How many dog-friendly rooms, whether they are ground floor, where the dog sleeps.
Claiming fills every box above, and lets you reply to reviews when they open. £15 a month, no contract, and it never changes the verdict — the stamp stays ours.
Danby Wiske is the lowest point on Wainwright's 192-mile Coast to Coast Walk, and the flat vale stretch through the village makes a satisfying out-and-back of any length along quiet lanes and field paths beside the River Wiske. This is working dairy and arable country crossed by stiles, so expect cattle and sheep and keep dogs on leads through pasture. The White Swan at the halfway point welcomes dogs inside.
Seventeenth-century village inn sitting directly on Wainwright's Coast to Coast route, famously marking 66 miles left to Robin Hood's Bay. Dogs are welcome inside the pub alongside the walkers, real ales and hearty food that sustain the trail trade; there is also simple B&B and camping. Food service is geared to the walking season, so ring ahead in winter.
Nobody has written one for The Old School B&B. If you have been with the dog, you would be the first — and the first review is the one everybody reads.
