The bubbly market town of Hay-on-Wye is famously known all over the world as the Town of Books . Boasting over twenty bookstores to browse it is renowned for the annual Hay Festival of Literature & Arts. However there is more to the town than books; it boasts a good range of cafes and restaurants as well as independent shops. The Globe in Hay hosts a vibrant calendar of arts events that runs throughout the year. The town of Hay is set on the banks of the River Wye where you can enjoy paddling at the Warren the riverside meadow or hire a kayak further down the river at Glasbury (3.5 miles). Walkers and cyclists will want to head to the Brecon Beacons National Park which is 22.5 miles away where there are plenty of rambling routes and places to explore by bike. Step inside to the spacious entrance hall where you will find space for coats and boots. From here you can access a cosy lounge where you can relax with friends whilst watching a good film on the Smart TV. There is a further snug that makes a great area for families with younger children where you can play on the Wii enjoy cartoons on the TV or set up a board game.
