No photo yet · the business adds these when they claim

A Craft Union community pub on Low Street in the middle of Sherburn, open from eleven every day and until eleven at night. The operator's facility list names it a dog friendly pub outright, with no area carved out, and there is a beer garden for warm afternoons. It is a wet-led pub with pool table, darts, live music and sport on the screens rather than a dining pub, so no food is advertised and a noise-shy dog will be happier before the evening entertainment starts.

Furfields Dog Park

No reviews yet

A secure hire field of just over an acre behind Squires Bikers Cafe on Newthorpe Lane, a couple of miles east of Sherburn in Elmet. It is fenced to six feet and booked by the half hour or the hour in daylight, at six pounds for thirty minutes with up to three dogs and eleven pounds for the hour, rising to eight and fifteen pounds for four or five dogs; five dogs is the maximum in one session. Inside there are weave poles, runs, a sandpit, a swing ball, a shelter, picnic benches and drinking water on tap with bowls provided. Parking is directly outside for three or four cars with more off-street spaces nearby, dogs must not be left unattended, and the owners are honest that they cannot guarantee a determined escaper will not get out.

Walk SOME LIMITS

Sherburn Willows Nature Reserve

LS25 6AG
2.1 MI · 1H · 65% OFF-ROAD

Three hectares of magnesian limestone grassland on the escarpment above New Lane, dropping steeply to a wet fen and willow carr at the bottom. Yorkshire Wildlife Trust allows dogs but says they must be on a lead, and the site is grazed by sheep or cattle including rare breed white park cattle, so lead work is not optional here. Parking is roadside on New Lane only, and there is no car park, so on a busy Sunday you may end up walking in from the village. The circuit described here links the reserve with New Lane and the lanes back into Sherburn, giving a short low-level round of about two miles rather than the ten minutes the reserve alone would take.
