The Star Inn

A Wolds village inn on the B1246 at North Dalton, sat right beside the village pond between Driffield and Pocklington and run by Old Mill Inns. Local cask ales and lagers, homemade pub classics Wednesday to Sunday evenings, and a Sunday roast served straight through from noon to six. The house says it plainly: "The Star is dog-friendly, offering six comfortable and inviting hotel rooms - two of which are specially set up to welcome guests with well-behaved dogs." So only two of the six rooms take a dog, and they need asking for by name; the kitchen is shut Mondays and the bar does not open until three.
