The unspoilt Solway Firth is just 3 miles away an area of outstanding natural beauty that is home to many species of wading birds making this area a popular destination for bird watchers. The historic town of Cockermouth is only 10 miles check out Wordsworth House and Garden the childhood home of poet William Wordsworth. The popular market town of Keswick is also only 22 miles stroll along the Derwentwater lake shore where you can hire a boat or take a cruise to enjoying the stunning scenery before stopping for some lunch in one of the many independent cafes and pubs. Upon entering this romantic abode you ll find yourself in a stylish lounge illuminated by the warm glow of a gas fire.
