A small bar at 21 Market Place, next door to the Temple and formerly the Marketplace Alehouse micropub, reopened in March 2026 as a Peaky Blinders themed cocktail bar under the same management as its neighbour. It is a single room with pavement seating out front on the market square, so a dog can either sit inside at your feet or watch the market from the tables outside. No food is served here and there is no cask ale, but the Minster and the Don riverside path are both a few minutes away for a walk. The dog-friendly listing comes from CAMRA's WhatPub record for the premises rather than from the bar's own words, and the bar has changed hands since the original survey, so it is worth a call first.
