A town centre pub at 11 Wellington Street in Barnsley, a few doors along from the Corner Pin and two minutes from the interchange. Craft Union lists it as a dog friendly pub with water bowls kept for visiting dogs. It is a screens-and-pool room rather than a dining pub, and it is cheap. Dearne Valley Country Park and the Trans Pennine Trail start about a mile east down Pontefract Road.
