Rose and Crown is a pub on New Road, Ashbourne. It is listed here so you know it is there, but we have not yet established whether dogs are welcome — so there is no verdict on this page and no stamp. If it is your business, claim the page and tell us, and we will stamp it.

We have not checked this one yet

Rose and Crown is a real pub in Ashbourne, and it is here so you know it exists. But we have not been able to find a dog policy for it that we would stand behind, so we are not going to guess at one. No verdict, no stamp, no date.

If this is your business, tell us whether dogs are welcome and we will put a stamp on it — free, and it stays free. Claim this page.

If you have been and you know the answer, tell us and we will go and confirm it.

These are the parts only the business can add. We check the dog policy and stamp the date — photos, prices and their own words are theirs to put in, and this listing is waiting for them.

Ashbourne tunnel and Church Banks stroll

DE6 2AA
2.6 MI · 1H 10M · 80% OFF-ROAD

Two and a half miles there and back, an hour at most, out through the lit railway tunnel under the town and back by the Henmore Brook and Church Banks. Start from the Mapleton Lane car park at the Tissington Trail head, pay-and-display and the closest parking to the tunnel mouth. Level and surfaced almost throughout, so a good short leg-stretch for a dog that cannot manage hills, with close control rather than a lead needed on the trail, a shallow paddle in the Henmore, and a short pavement section on Church Street where a lead goes back on.
