Old lifeboat station turned pub at the bottom of the lane in Polkerris, with a sun terrace facing St Austell Bay. Wet dogs and other pets are welcome throughout the pub and the dining room, which is unusually generous and exactly what you want after the coast path from Gribbin Head. The tiny shingle beach in front has no seasonal ban.
